The European Network of Election Observation Organizations (ENEMO) is a group of 21 election observer organizations from 17 countries of post-communist countries of the OSCE region supporting and advancing best international democratic observation standards in the region.

ENEMO is deployed an Election Observation Mission (EOM) for the Parliamentary Elections, scheduled for February 24^th 2018. 

The EOM is therefore undertaking recruitment of local staff to support the Long-Term Observers (LTO) of the EOM for the below positions and locations:

1. Assistant/Interpreter to Long Time Observers LTOs – Chisinau, Orhei, Balti, Comrat

2. Driver – Chisinau, Orhei, Balti, Comrat.

Closing Date of application: January 4, 2019 (by the end of the day)

Expected starting date of employment: January 10, 2019

Expected duration of the employment: two months

Terms of reference for the positions:

 1. Assistant/Interpreter to Observers

Responsible to: ENEMO EOM observers

Job Summary: Assistant provides translation and assistant service to observers.

Main Duties:

• Provides oral and /or writing translation to the observers;

• Provides assistance in organising meetings and events, plans working time, keeps contacts, prepares documents, etc.;

• Participates in external meetings;

• Travels outside the place of deployment with the observers;

• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of the language of the host country;

• Russian in case of positions in Balti and Comrat;

• Good knowledge of English language;

• Good organisational and computer skills;

• Ability to work having irregular working hours;

• Readiness to travel.

Essential but not obligatory:

• Domestic or international election observation experience.

 2. Driver

Responsible to: respective Core Team member or EOM observers

Job summary: Driver provides transportation service for EOM staff using their own car.

Main duties:

• Provides transportation for EOM staff including travelling outside of the place of deployment, to the assigned rayons, and to Chisinau.

Requirements:

• Driver’s license, B category;
• Own car in good condition for travelling in Moldova’s countryside;
• Passengers’ driving experience of at least 10 years in Moldova’s countryside;
• Expertise in finding the best route for driving and good familiarity with Moldovan roads;
• Excellent knowledge of the language of the host country; Russian, in case of position in Balti and Comrat;
• Good computer skills;
• Ability to work having irregular working hours.
