Mr. Dritan Taulla, Head of ENEMO’s Election Observation Mission to Moldova for the Local Elections of 5 November 2023, Ms. Maja Milikic, Media Analyst, and Ms. Nino Rizhamadze, Election and Legal Analyst, met today with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Dorin Recean.

Mr. Taulla presented the Mission and its plans, and reiterated ENEMO’s continuous commitment towards improving integrity of elections and strengthening democracy and rule of law in the region.

During the meeting was also discussed on the importance of the integrity of the upcoming local elections, current challenges that the Republic of Moldova faces towards strengthening democracy and the rule of law, with special emphasis on the challenges related to the ongoing electoral process, as well as the role of the Government of Moldova in tackling these challenges.
