On 29 April, members of the Core Team in the framework of ENEMO's EOM to the Municipal Elections met with the National Election Office (NEO). Head of Mission Mr. Pierre Peytier, Deputy Head of Mission Ms. Ana Mihajlovic, and Election Administration Analyst/Legal Analyst Ms. Nino Rizhamadze met with the President of the NEO Dr. Attila Nagy, and Head of Department for Press, International Relations, and Protocol Dr. Katalin Kibedi-Varga.

The meeting was an opportunity for the Core Team to introduce ENEMO's mission composition, reporting schedule and general objectives of its observation methodology ahead of the 09 June elections. ENEMO and the NEO exchanged on the importance and the challenges of the municipal elections, which will be held on the same day as the European Parliament elections. Additionally, the meeting was an opportunity to discuss the NEO's role in the upcoming electoral processes, especially when it comes to the work of electoral commission members, candidate registration, the voters' register and other crucial aspects of the elections.
