ENEMO

The annual General Assembly held in Montenegro

The General Assembly of ENEMO is a gathering of member organizations, held once a year. It is an opportunity for the organizations to discuss current issues, ongoing and upcoming missions etc. In 2018, the Assembly was held in Njivice, Herceg Novi, Montenegro and lasted from the 4th - 7th of October. 

Representatives of 20 organizations were present. The General Secretary of ENEMO, Zlatko Vujovic, presented ENEMO’s activities since the GA 2017. A presentation was also given, and a discussion was held about the Communication & Fundraising strategy of ENEMO. Overall Goal of ENEMO’s fundraising strategy is ensuring financial sustainability for institutional strengthening and expansion of activities. It was concluded that ENEMO should move away from ad-hoc funding from its donors and ensure that it receives long-term financing to sustain itself administratively and operationally.

The Centre for Monitoring and Research (CeMI), as the General Secretary, completed the activities and achieved results as planned in the strategic documents and promised to ENEMO’s donors – including registration and further institutionalization. 

At the GA, the Civil Network OPORA became a full member, while 6 organizations later submitted the request for consultative membership - Society for Democratic Culture (SDC), Obcianske OKO, Committee of Voters of Ukraine (CVU), Election Monitoring and Democratic Studies Center (EMDS), Foundation for Support of Civic Initiatives (FSCI), Coalition for Democracy and Civil Society, and became consultative members with the right to appoint members to EOMs.

The Network now has 21 members (11 full members, 9 consultative members and one associate member).
