ENEMO Head of Mission Dr. Gianluca Passarelli and Election Campaign Analyst Pierre Peytier met with the president of the Socialist People’s Party Mr. Vladimir Jokovic.

The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the current political situation in Montenegro, including EU membership accession and the democratic development of the country, electoral campaigning under the COVID-19 pandemic, voters’ lists and other crucial elements of the electoral process.

Dr. Passarelli raised the topic of the democratic aims of Montenegro, the fairness of the electoral process, and essential characteristics of a democratic regime, while Mr. Jokovic further reflected upon the difficulties of holding elections in summer in the current environment, and other challenges ahead of the 30 August Parliamentary Elections.
