Kyiv, October 7, 2020 - Head of the ENEMO Mission to Ukraine, Dr. Zlatko Vujovic and Deputy Head of Mission Pierre Peytier met with Mr. Maksym Savrasov, Head of the Secretariat of the European Solidarity party and Dr. Rostyslav Pavlenko, People’s Deputy of Ukraine.
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss ENEMO’s International Election Observation Mission to Ukraine 2020 for the 25 October Local Elections, problems and challenges of the new electoral legislation in Ukraine (new Electoral Code), the formation of Territorial election commissions (TECs), the problems with registration of candidates to local councils, as well as the political situation in Ukraine. Additionally, the meeting was an opportunity to talk about challenges of the Local Elections caused by Covid-19 and the party’s election campaign.
