Belgrade, March 22nd - ENEMO Head of Mission Pierre Peytier and Deputy Head of Mission Maja Milikic met with the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic. Beside his presidential function, Mr. Vucic is leading the major party in the country - Serbian Progressive party that will take part in the upcoming elections. Mr. Vucic invited to the meeting his personal advisors on media and foreifn policy.
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss socio-political atmosphere in the country and the electoral conditions. The interlocutors discussed how the Ukraine crisis is impacting the political campaign and the consequences of the crisis on Serbian domestic and foreign policy. During the meeting, interlocutors discussed the polarization that is present in Serbian society.
Mr. Vucic expressed his readiness to meet with the mission and to provide all necessary information for assessing election process in Serbia.
